In memory of Timothy Keller

In memory of Tim Keller: A Man of Faith Who Has Come Home

With deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of Tim Keller, beloved theologian, pastor and visionary, who has departed from this world to be reunited with his Savior, Jesus. Yesterday, his son informed us that Tim had been discharged from the hospital and was receiving palliative care at home. In his final days, Tim expressed his longing to be home with Jesus through fervent prayers, and today we read these words with gratitude and sorrow.

Tim's family is filled with grief as we all yearned for more time with him. However, we understand that the time he has left in this world is limited. Tim, in one of his prayerful nights, left us a heartfelt message: "I am grateful for all the people who have prayed for me throughout the years. I am thankful for my beloved family who has shown me unconditional love. I appreciate the time that God has granted me, but I am prepared to meet Jesus. I can't wait to see Him. Send me home."

Tim Keller has left an true example in the world of theology and in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him and being taught by him. His wisdom, humility, and compassion have touched countless lives, and his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts and in the Christian community.

In this time of mourning, we come together as family, friends, and faithful followers of the faith around the Keller family. We lift up our prayers in gratitude for Tim's life and seek comfort and peace for his wife, children, and loved ones.

We will remember Tim as a man of deep faith, whose love for Jesus was evident in every aspect of his life. His example inspires us to continue seeking God, loving our neighbors, and living a life of generous service.

"Tim has come home." These words encapsulate the hope and certainty that Tim has reached his eternal destination. May his teaching endure in our hearts and may his life be a continual testimony of God's grace and love.

Rest in peace, dear Tim Keller. We will miss you, but we trust that you are in the presence of the One you longed to see.
